Counterpoint Fall 2008 Newsletter
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome new and returning dancers to Counterpoint Dance Academy Marda Loop for what we are sure will be a challenging and exciting year! We hope your dancers are settling into their classes. Please feel free to stay and enjoy the viewing area that will be opened in the next couple of weeks. The teachers are always happy to discuss your dancer's progress. Please do not hesitate to ask. A phone call is appreciated if your dancer is going to be away from class. This way we will not worry about the students in their absence.
Please feel free to use the mailbox in the office to leave anything that needs to be directed to the office. The studio office hours will be posted on the office door and listed on the studio answering machine.
Parent and dancers - Please remove all outside footwear at the entrance and place all shoes on the shelves provided. This will ensure the dancer's shoes and stockings remain dry and clean when the wet and snowy season arrives. Thank you.
To dancers, please make sure that your hair is neatly pulled back and the appropriate dance attire is worn to all dance classes. A neat and tidy appearance is an essential part of dance discipline. Please make every effort to arrive for class on time. All dancers require a thorough warm-up to prevent injury and this is done at the beginning of class. It is also disruptive to your fellow dancers and teachers when you enter after the class has begun. Also, please make sure to put your name inside all dance clothing and shoes so they can be returned if misplaced . Please check the Lost and Found box in the changeroom frequently as any items remaining at the Christmas and Easter breaks will be donated to charity. Thank you.
Please note that the studio will be closed on Saturday October 11, 2008 and Monday October 13, 2008 for the Thanksgiving Weekend. As well, Counterpoint will be closed on Halloween. Enjoy!
Please note that the main studio door may be locked after the start of some of our late night classes. If you are picking up your dancer and find the door locked it is in the interest of security. The door will be opened at the end of class for you to pick up your dancer. As well, the studio will remain open 10 minutes after the last class of the evening. We kindly ask that you ensure your dancer is picked up on time. Thank you
