2010 RECITAL Hair, Make Up & Costume Details
BALLET RECITAL COSTUME INFORMATION
Make-up
Please apply make-up lightly for photo day and liberally for recital. Stage make-up (for Recital) needs to be much darker than daily make-up as the stage lights can wash out the dancers’ faces.
- Brown eyeshadow
- Black or brown eyeliner and mascara
- Pink blush
- Pink/Red tone lipstick
Hair
Ballet - All ballet dancers are to wear their hair neatly pulled back in to a bun, with no bangs or “wispy” bits please – use lots of gel and spray. Please tie hair ribbon around bun and make a bow at the bottom of the bun or if your dancers costume included a flower then please secure the flower in the dancers left side of the bun with bobby pins. Thank you.

Princess Make-Believe Monday 3:30 class:
Bodysuit, tutu, own tights and ballet slippers.
Princess Make-Believe Thursday 3:30
class:
Bodysuit, tutu, own tights and ballet slippers.
Princess Make-Believe Saturday 9:30 class:
OWN pink bodysuit, tutu, own tights, ballet slippers, wings.
Ballet A /Pre-Jazz Thursday and Saturday classes:
bodysuit, tutu, own tights and ballet slippers.
Ballet B:
Bodysuit, tutu, own pick tights and ballet slippers.
Grade 1:
Bodysuit and tutu, own pick tighs and ballet slippers
Grade 2:
Tutu, own pink bodysuit, tights and ballet slippers.
Grade 3 / 4 :
Bodysuit, tutu, own pink tights and ballet slippers.
Grade 5 Ballet:
Grass skirts, blue bodysuit, tank top, bare legs or beige Capri length tights (optional), bare feet. Please cut the grass skirt so that it is just below the knee and please pin the tank top if it is too low on your child – thank you for your help.
Intermediate Monday and Tuesday class
Spanish dress, own sheer black tights, character or hard heeled shoes.
Inter /Adv. Thursday class:
Blue chiffon dress, ballet tights, ballet slippers.
JAZZ, TAP, LYRICAL RECITAL COSTUME INFORMATION
Dancers are to arrive fully dressed (including make-up and hair) in their first costume for both Photo day and Recital.
Make-up

Hair
Jazz/Tap – Dancers are to wear their hair in a high curly ponytail that is on line with the top of their ears (unless otherwise specified). NO BANGS. Hair should be naturally curled; NO fake hairpieces are to be worn. Hair ribbon should be tied in a knot on the top of the ponytail.
Lyrical – Dancers are to wear their hair ½ up and ½ down with a Left side part (dancers left) and medium curl. Please ensure a large section of hair is pulled up so the dancers hair is kept off their face. NO BANGS. Ribbon should be tied around the elastic.

Jr A Tap (4:20 – 5:00) – Blue and white plaid skirt, blue tank top, blue socks, your own black sleeveless body suit (to be worn under tank top and skirt), bare legs, black tap shoes, hair as above
Inter A Jazz (5:00 – 5:45) - Grey and orange tank top, black leggings, your own black body suit, black jazz shoes, bare legs, hair as above
Inter C Jazz (5:45 – 6:30) - Plaid shirt dress, black lace leggings, own black shorts, black jazz shoes, hair as above
Lyrical B (7:15 – 8:00) (Miss Carley’s class) – Orange satin slip dress, own black bodysuit, bare legs, foot undeez, hair as above
Lyrical B (7:15 – 8:00) (Miss Diana’s class) –PG “Happy Ending” costume
TUESDAY CLASSES
Jr B Jazz (5:00 – 5:45) – Fuscia pink skort, butterfly tank top, fuscia pink socks, bare legs, beige jazz shoes, hair as above
Inter Lyrical (5:45 – 6:30) - PG “Stay” costume for the June 2nd recital and for the June 5th recital: all Inter Lyrical class dancers will perform and dancers are asked to wear their own black shorts, racer back tank top (any shade of blue), black racer back sports bra, beige footless tights and dance paws. Hair as above.
Inter C Jazz (6:30 – 7:15) - PG “7 Nation Army” costume
Adv. Lyrical (7:15 – 8:00) - PG “Wait it Out “ costume
Pre Adv. Jazz combo (8:00 – 8:45) PG “The Garden” costume
Int/Adv MT 8:45-9:30 – Legally Blonde outfits, as discussed with Miss Morgan
WEDNESDAY CLASSES
Jr C Tap (4:20 – 5:00) - Pink skirts, OWN black shorts to wear under skirt, striped top, bare legs, tap shoes, hair and make-up as above.
Jr C Jazz (5:00 – 5:45) – Jeans skort, fuscia pink tank top, fuscia pink socks, bare legs, beige jazz shoes, hair as above
Jr A Jazz (5:45 – 6:30) – Red with cream polka dot skort, cream t-shirt, cream socks, bare legs, beige jazz shoes, hair as above
Inter. B Jazz (6:30 – 7:15) – PG “Black Pearl” costume.
Inter. A Tap (7:15 – 8:00) - Pink skirts, OWN black shorts to wear under skirt, striped top, bare legs, tap shoes, hair and make-up as above.
Inter Hip Hop (8:00 -8:45) – Runners preferably black, black leggings, green tank.
THURSDAY CLASSES
INT. B PLUS Jazz (4:20 – 5:OO) INT C Jazz 5:45 – 6:30 - Plaid shirt dress, black lace leggings, own black shorts, black jazz shoes, hair as above.
INTER C PLUS TAP (5:00 – 5:45) - Yellow t-shirt, blue satin jacket (left un buttoned), own black shorts, own beige tights.
Lyrical A 5:45 – 6:30 – Grey tank, flower slip dress, bare legs, foot undiez, OWN black shorts, hair and make-up as above.
Rhythm Tap (5:45 – 6:30) – own jeans, own black tank top.
JR PLUS HIP HOP (6:30 – 7:15) –“zombie” costume. Regular stage make-up and “crazy” hair if recital program permits. Dancers please review with Miss Ash;ey re: what to wear on legs, feet.
Adv. Hip Hop (7:15 – 8:30) PG “Concentrate” costume.
Teen Jazz (7:15 – 8:00) – 2 orange tank tops, OWN black shorts, grey striped socks Hair down no bangs, black jazz shoes
Teen Hip Hop (8:00 – 8:45) – T-Shirt, , scarf, OWN black sweat pants, hair down no bangs, black or white running shoes, own black socks.
FRIDAY CLASSES
Mini Hip Hop 4:20 -5:00 - Grey sweats, black and white striped shirt, black satin jacket, hat, hair in pony tail, own black socks, own black or white running shoes.
Jr Musical Theater 5:00 – 5:45. Orphan dresses: As discussed with Miss Morgan. – bare feet, or torn stockings with jazz shoes, hair of choice, messy if MT is their last number to perform, otherwise keep it in a pony tail or whatever is required.
Jr. Plus Musical Theater 5:45 - 6:30 – white dress, gold shorts, gold necklace and belt (perhaps) Beige tights (Capri, or convertible folded up, bare feet, or foot undiez, hair down with headband.
